APC commits to ensuring policy making that reflects voices and concerns of African

The African Policy Circle APC, has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening citizen participation in governance and ensuring that policy-making reflects the voices and concerns of African citizens. This was agreed at the just ended  African Policy Circle Conference  in Yaonde Cameroon. The annual meeting that brought together  participants from across Africa.

This year, the conference sought to address the disconnect between public engagement and policy making.Speaking during the conference, Executive Director for NICE, Mr. Gray Kalindekafe, said the conference debated ways in which governments could restore trust, how digital innovations might enhance civic engagement, and what the African Policy Circle can do to raise awareness of these pressing issues.

During the conference   Kalindekafe made a present  titled, Restoring trust: What should governments do differently to better engage citizens and (re)gain their trust?” Among the people that attended scholars, civil society organization, government officials. NICE  is a member of the APC steering committee.
