Mobilisation and awareness for registration in progress

Being an accredited organisation to carry out voter and civic education for the 2024 elections, NICE is currently on the ground reaching out to all Malawians to register for the elections in September next year. Registration started on 21 October 2024, in Phase 1 in Chitipa, Karonga, Karonga Town, Mzuzu City, Nkhotakota, Salima, Ntchisi, Dedza, Chiradzulu , Machinga, Neno, Phalombe and Mulanje districts.

The Trust is using a number of strategies to make sure every eligible voter in Malawi has access to information and goes for registration. These strategies include: loudhailing, football bonanzas, letters to faith organizations, bank nkhonde meetings, village meetings, market days, programmes on radios just to mention a few.

Phase 2 starts on 9th November 2024 which has NkhataBay, Rumphi, Kasungu and Kasungu Municipality, Dowa, Mchinji, Ntcheu , Zomba ,Zomba City, Blantyre and Blantyre City, Thyolo and Luchenza Manicipality. Finally the last phase which in Phase 3 in Mzimba, Lilongwe , Lilongwe City Mangochi and Mangochi Manicipality, Mwanza, Chikwawa and Nsanje.
