NICE TRAINS RADIO ARTISTS

The National Initiative for  Civic  Education  recently engaged MBC radio drama artists and producers on a training for message development for  new electoral reforms, mindset change enabler of the Malawi 2063 and national registration.  Among its civic education strategies, Trust is using popular radio drama series Pamajiga, Nzeru Nkupangwa  and Sewero La Sabata Ino to reach out to Malawians with information. NICE has in the past effectively used the same groups for Covid 19 awareness, Covid 19 Vaccination mobilisation, SADC regional integration awareness and prevention of gender-based violence.

Speaking at the training board chairperson of NICE Trust Madamme Lingalireni Mihowa, said Malawians have a right to access information at all costs and by using the popular radio plays, NICE aims at imparting knowledge on the key issues mentioned above such as motivational messages on the elections, the importance of registering, voting, and tolerance.
