NICE trust has a vision, mission and values. The vision defines the destination NICE wants to see the society get to while the mission defines the reason for its existence. The values define the beliefs and what the institution holds dear in the conduct of its business.

NICE is committed to deepening democracy and good governance among Malawians through provisionof highquality civic andvoter education, community empowerment andmobilisation.
NICE shall strive to adhere to principles of evenhandedness or fair- mindedness and justice and its decisions shall be based on objective criteria, rather than on the basis of bias, prejudice, or preferring the benefitto one person, organization, entity over another.
NICE shall work to ensure that its programs are of high quality, effective and efficient in nature. They are result-oriented, achieving, and desired goals; and are gender and age sensitive as well.
NICE shall work in collaboration with government, communities, Civil society organizations (CSOs) Non-governmental organizations (NGOs, the private sector, and donors, bringing together the unique resources to achieve common objectives. NICE enjoys unique access to decision-makers given its long experience and track record in development, civic education and governance.
NICE Board and staff work on the basis of mutual respect and accountability, dialogue, and collaboration. In our work, we seek to understand the views and ideas of others, as well as recognizing the positive contributions of each person, so as to build strong relationships within and beyond NICE.

NICE’s focus shall be on the person and what they can do, not their condition or disability. Support shall focus on achieving the person’s aspirations tailored to their needs and unique circumstances.
NICE shall strive to provide information about its activities and governance to stakeholders that is accurate, complete, and made available in a timely manner and shall be held responsible for any of its actions.
NICE shall endeavor to adhere to the highest standards of professional conduct, strive for impartiality and objectivity when dealing with other people or institutions and shall communicate openly and honestly with its stakeholders, maintain confidentiality in professional relationships and also fulfill commitments in a reliable, responsive, and efficient manner.
NICE shall conduct its business in a non-partisan manner adhering to objectivity, fairness, balance and accuracy of facts.
