World Bicycle Relief donates to NICE

The Trust recently got a timely donation of 80 bicycles from World Bicycle Relief. The donation came at a right time as NICE a civic educator is busy with awareness raising and mobilisation for the 2025 General Elections. Speaking at the event said the Trust, a representative of the board Ulemu Bakali, said It is extremely gratifying that World Bicycle Relief (WBR) came to the assist NICE to enable a section of the institution’s volunteers to be able to visit and support such communities.

‘Most of the volunteers cannot afford to have their own bicycles but they have the zeal to serve their communities in strengthening governance at local level for improved public service delivery.’Bakali said.

Speaking at the same event, Country Director for the World Bicycle Relief Anthony Kinnaird, emphasized that the partnership between them and the Trust will contribute to civic education and awareness raising towards deepening of democracy.

World Bicycle Relief 80 Buffallo bicycles which will be used by the Trust’s Volunteers in their day-to-day work.
